Cross bar paint - peeling off

Anyone else has noticed this issue? Where cross bar meets the roof rack, right at the very small edge, cross bar's chrome paint has started to peel off, front and rear. Nothing that I did. Dealer wants to do touch up, I am not sure if it'll look good. Isn't this considered a defect that should be replaced instead?

Me three! I have the chrome roof rails and noticed they are peeling in the same locations you mentioned.

Any pictures someone can post? Mine has a small nick on one of the corners. But likely it's caused by rock chip or something hopefully.

I have the same problem on my 2008 Ex35. Did anyone do anything about it?

I have the same peeling problem on the roof racks. Started a year after I got my car. Never really paid too much attention to it. I wonder if these are under warranty. I have 1 more year of factory warranty left on my EX35 2008.
