A great resource for Nissan Sentra, Infiniti G20, 200sx, Pulsar, NX1600, NX2000, Tsuru, Primera and Sunny owners.

My buddy has a 200 sx and it has sat for awhile due to an evap problem and all we can guess is that a critter crawled up in his vent system and died. I believe it is in the blower cage because when he turns it on it makes a noise and has an awful smell. My question is this, how hard is it to take the cage out to remove said dead critter on a 1996 200 and what to use to kill the smell. Thanx for any info.

Shouldn't be too tough. Grab the FSM (link in my signature) for instructions on how to get to it.

After you get whatever it is out, I'd get some kind of air freshener spray and spray it with the fan going so that it circulates and kills the odor.

4 screws and drop the blower motor. The smell will still linger a little while but if you take the fan off and bleach it it'll go away a little quicker.
