creeping on IAP manifold

has anyone found a solution to this problem? i have a half bar spring and creep to 9+ pounds in 3rd 4th 5th. just wondering what other people have done, im going to take the manifold to a local shop and see about getting the wg dump re angled / possibly have a 2nd dump pipe running to the wg.

usually a 1-2psi creep is normal isnt it? from half bar to 9 isnt much of a difference. what fuel management are you running?

Geo dont you creep to a solid 10psi? im sure you dont have a 10psi spring

yeh, but thast cause my wastegate line is too long.. we are gonna shorten it.

Thought you had a 10psi spring....or did you never check... You got your wastegate routed back to your exhaust or open.

FWIW, I get no creep over 1psi and my WG port on the manifold is 90* on the collector. Also, my WG is open dump.

hehe it's ironic...I have an SSAC manifold (topmount). I only posted my data because, IIRC, the wastegate port is also 90* from the collector on the IAP manifold. So the comparison is very close.

well i think it would keep creeping if i stayed in it, it would probably go past 10 on a 4th gear punch i bet.

where do you pull the vaccum for your wastegate from?

The manifold i made for my car has my wastegate dump like this, I have absolutly no creep issues (external dump). Im running a manual boost controller set 8-12psi depending on the motorsport. Diameter of the runners and wastegate bend to the flange are 1.75 ID. I get my wastegate signal from the compressor housing, line is about 2ft long. Tial 38mm. Maybe someone can take some pictures that are more clear of the wastegate area on the IAP manifold for comparison?

It doesn't have the spot on the mani to tap for signal.Mine is smooth. I took my signal from my hot pipe. I had a 5.8psi srping. I only saw between 4.7-5 psi. Loss in my system.

yeah mine dosent have the egt port either it was just the pic on the site. i have a half bar spring in my wg and im getting 10+ at wot in 4th gear. i have 2.5" midpipe, 3 inch downpipe, empty cat, 3 inch straight back, so there is not much back pressure.

I ahve creep as well but tis due to my 5ft line.. lol.. we are gonna fix it over m spring break

my IAP manifold is en route, should have it friday. i can't think of a solution, but i'll make sure to post up if i get any creep or not.
