Creaking sound from windshield when going over bumps

Ive noticed lately that when i go over sharp bumps or speed bumps i hear a creaking sound coming from the bottom of my windshield like its about to crack or something.

Someone told me its because the windshield wasnt set properly from the factory and its trying to settle.

any ideas?

Look for any discoloration around the windshield (specifically the "blacked out" area around the perimeter), this will usually indicate separation from the lip and the glass.
