Recently, I have noticed some creaking noise (very gentle) from the front when going at low speed (less than 10 MPH). At first I was thinking something was rubbing the seat and did not pay much attention. But, after a while, I hear the same noise even when there is nothing (except me) on the seat, so I know it is not the leather on the seat.

This only happens when at very low speed cruise - No noise when accelerate or braking. Turning seems does not make a difference.

Could anyone shed some light on what this could be? If you need more information, just ask as I am at a lost right now.

TIA

Hey, try putting your ear on either one of your headlights when the engine is on, ( your headlights dont have to be turned on). If you hear creaking in there then its your headlight(s).

More likely it's worn bushings. Tie rod ends or sway bar bushings, I'm thinking.

If you think it's the adaptive headlights just turn them off ARS switch. Creaking is typically a suspension issue. With the car off and in P but no parking brake rock the car up and down at each corner. If nothing then start the engine and rotate the steering to full clockwise then counter-clockwise. Still nothing then have someone drive the car very slowly in an parking garage with you walking around or running to help you isolate where it's coming from.

Just some thoughts and what I would do.

Thanks for all the reply.

Here are more information:
The creaking noise happens mostly between 10-25MPH and it seems start when the car is fully warmed up (say after driving for 10+ miles), there is no noise when first started - I tested this morning driving at any speed, there is no noise at any speed. But, when I got to work (after 40 min. of driving), I can here it again just before I park the car.

It does not seem to be a big deal, but I am just curious to find out what it is before it turn to something big.

I would take it to a shop and have the suspension checked, tie rods, bushings, and maybe inspect the motor mounts....

Sounds like if you can diagnose it early it'll avoid possible bigger damage/issues down the road

Good luck
