Quick question. I remember someone here having a similar problem a while back and I can't find the post for ****. I finally finished my car and it ran just fine. Today while idling it died and now when I put the key to ACC, My coil just ticks like crazy and the fuel pump keeps going on and off along with the ticking and the lights on the ecu blink like crazy too.

sounds like some short in the electrical circuit somewhere near the ecu controlled stuff or the ecu itself is toast..

Relay! Should be the one under the hood, near the battery tray.

ok let me give more in sight on this. I finally finished the whole installation of the kit on my SOHC. And I have a chipped ECU. Now with this problem I am leaning towards 3 possibilities.

One: Its the Relay cause the car was running just fine at one point and then it shut off and started doing this. Here is the thing when I remove all three relays that are there the coil still gives a ticking problem. But I will get some relays today.

Two: Im wondering if it's the stock chip that's acting up cause it did get kind of mutilated cause the ***** is not only glued in to there but also epoxied heh. Cause when I take the chip out of the zif socket all the problems go away. Now when I put in a blank chip I get the same ticking problem, I can't test outa new tune until I receive my eprom burner sometime this week.

Three: Now this one kind of ties into number two but instead of just the chip it self being bad Im wondering if something else on the ecu got fried.
