My tach is out of control and goes crazy. I was told that it would most likely be the sensor on the transmission. Was wondering if any of you knew what sensor would need to be replaced and how hard it would be to do so.

The tach derives its zero to 5 volt signal from ecu calculations [from CAS input].The speedometer signal comes from the transmission mounted speed sensor!

Find a whole dash gauge assembly: ebay or junk yard that way you can swap everything and still have spare parts for future.

I found one on ebay that has almost exactly the same mileage. If I swapped out the original with that one would I expect to run into any problems?
