okay i've been just combing the car for this problem. when the car is cold, its fine whatever it runs and gets power but when it warms up to operating temp and you give it WOT its lags and hesitates gets power, backs off and nearly boggs or something.

its soo ****ing frustraiting when a stock civic can beat you or something like a tempo. but I dont street race, but still I want to be able to have power when I need it, ie traffic so I don't have to be the d!ck that cuts people off when turning right onto traffic.

I have done the following:

cleaned the maf, new alternator, new plugs, wires, 02 sensor, fuel filter, fancy 93 octane, new air filter, compression is okay (160 across the board), checked TPS its good, j30 rear end swap, (okay this doesnt affect it at all but I did it heh) new battery (optima yellow top biggrin.gif)

I had it in at nissan too and they were like something is clogging up your injectors cause they were dirty and they gave em a good scrub or something I guess and like a few days later it happened again.

so i can narrow it down to:the injectors themselves (pain in the ***)

fuel pump but if its fine when its cold, maybe not. I plan on upgrading to walbro 255 anyways

ecu, something could have ****ed up i dunno, its electronic.

distributor, maybe need a new one, no idea. the cap wasnt dirty or anything.

I would give your entire exhaust system a look over. The effects of a bad cat could bog your engine at high rpm, I would take the cat off and give it a look.

I got a new Cato 3" cat last july to pass emissions, not smell and be quieter.but you did remind me that I need to fix a small exhaust leak.

WELDIN TIME!

or just get a new gasket but the catco cat flange is quite spred.

How many miles do you have on the car? Cause Yes it could really be the injectors causing this problem..... its not that hard to swap injectors, just consider changing the O-rings at the same time
