I mentioned in an earlier topic that i got a free car. Its a 1990 hyandai excel hatchback. I was thinking if i could throw a B16 honda engine into it. It was suggested that a 4g63 would fit but i know nothing about that engine or where to start looking but im looking for it. What'cha think? Don't think this has ever been done b4, or has it? I have a few contacts here in ATL so im'a use them.

Why? Do you have a 240? or any other car for that matter? If you have excess money, spend it on that. More than likely the engine/transmission arrangement is backwards in the Honda than your crapbox, making swapping decently difficult (read:expensive and/or time-consuming).

If you MUST spend money on it, the 4G63 is a very common (albeit not the most reliable) engine that has vast amounts of aftermarket and information available on the internet, and probly an easier swap. Not to mention FASTER.

As far as the 240, im still looking for one. There not easy to find out here. I remember a 97 for sale last yr but i was'nt thinking about getting one then. Im just playing around with the idea of tuning this hyandai. who knows what it can become with creativity, money and time.
