So I got this idea to enlarge the MAF for my 1992 240sx, but still use the stock injectors and ECU, by doubling the cross sectional area and then wiring in a second hotwire in parellel with the original one. Take a look at this MAF and you will know what the hotwire is-http://www.ka24development.com/hacked_MAF.html , its the little coil on the right side of the shaft. So by doubling the area, the velocity should decrease by half, resulting in 1/2 of the normal MAF voltage reading, and then by wiring in a second hotwire in parellel, it should double the voltage, bringing it back up to the correct voltage according to air velocity. And therefore increasing power for N/A cars without the need for bigger injectors, because the restricive MAF is now 2x bigger. I did some calculations: the stock cross sectional area for the MAF is 4.7259", double it to 9.4518, then divide by 3.1416=3.00859, then square root to find radius,=1.73453, then double for diamiter,=3.469". So a 3.469 inch inner diameter pipe would be nedded and a spare MAF hotwire. Here's a lil sketch I drew up.

SO what do ya guys think?

The MAF in that picture is not from an s13. The hot film is located in a side passage, not in the main air passage. The s13 MAF only measures a portion of the air flowing through it, not all of it.
