crazy head unit

I just switched out my head unit in a 94Q..... everything works fine, except for a part in the cassette...which is making a noise even when the car is shut off...

I don't even own a cassette...so I would like to cut out the power to it before my battery wears down...

is the cassette on its own harness...or can I cut one of the wires to it?

I guess I should trouble shoot more on my own...but I am looking for a late owl short answer
