Ok, I was checking compression on on my DE from a 97 on my 93 and i got 200 +/- 2 psi on all 4 cylinders. I checked twice and got the same results. The engine was near operating temp since my fuel pump has just died.

Now i know it could be carbon build up but since i have better compression would it be worth keeping it the way it is or just getting rid of the carbon build up. What should i use to clean it up?

I did some searches but didnt really get a complete answer to my questions.

if the engine runs fine and no knock then just leave it alone. some people use the water, atf, or seafoam method to clean valves and combustion chambers. does it work? I have never tried it so I dont know.

seafoam is def. the easiest method i've tried. jsut put 1/3 in the gas tank. run 1/3 through the brakebooster or equivlent vac, and then 1/3 in the oil. run for 5 min reving occasionally and then change the oil.
