Crazy auto door locks-help

Hi all, I'm new here. I have a 1995 Maxima,165,000 miles, and the door locks are acting up. When I shut the front passengers side door, it locks all other doors except that one. Sometimes it happens with the back passengers side also. Also, when I'm driving down the road and haven't already locked the doors myself they will lock on their own. Oh, and sometimes when I push up the "all unlock" button, they will unlock and then immediately lock again. Anyone have any ideas on what part may need to be replaced????? My husband does all my preventative maintenance and we have the big owner's manual, so I think if it's just a part then he can fix it. I really hate to pay the dealer big bucks to fix it!!HELP!! Sounds like the door lock timer. I should have 1 of those.

Thanks for the idea. I got the service manual out but haven't looked at it yet. That gives me something else to look up. I searched some older threads and found also the actuator and a relay could be the problem(???) I haven't looked those up yet either.Thank you, Jasmin
