I was just thinking of random mods that would be cool to do (if I was ever rich, haha). Is there any way to make the 240 AWD (maybe using the ATTESSA system)? Or is there not enough room underneath. Also has anyone stuck a rotary into a 240 yet?

I've got a pic of a yellow 240 with a rotary pushin out 500hp, im sure there are a few. I duno about the AWD, you can do anything if the wallet permits. It would'nt be as much fun tho, I love RWD>

Or you could make a 240 AWD with a Rotory engine. As 240Kuminachu said it fun driving RWD and you have to have deep pockets if you didn't do it all yourself. Even if you did it yourself it still would be insanely expensive. I would like to see a 240 coverted to AWD and a rotory engine thrown in all at the same time.

Well it won't be me unless I win some crazy lottery or something, haha. I'm just a big rally fan, so I was thinkin how cool it would be to have an AWD 240, especially when the snow starts fallin. Plus, no one would expect it.

The rotary thing I thought would be cool, just cuz I love the sound. I suppose I could just get an RX-7 or something, but that'd be too easy, haha. I didn't think about doing both at the same time. It'd give better weight distribution, but with the AWD system, it'd probably suck gas like no tomorrow. It'd be pretty sick though.

i'm hoping whoever has an awd 240 packing a 13bt don't see gas as an issue. or else it's not smart to build a gas sucking car.

one of my coworker brought one of the latest issue of sport compact, and showed me something interesting. i have to say, i love what i saw. a miata powered by our very own sr20.

the sr20 is finding it's way in many car nowadays, even those folks in the fast and furious wanted to put a nissan engine into a honda.

The SR Miata isn't the first or only one, but a neat idea anyhow. And the reason they dropped the tin can in the Z33 is because the team and driver already knew the engine and I guess liked it so much.

i don't really keep updated with the sr being swapped in other chasis. so you could imagine how surprise i was to see a sr swapped being done in a car that's always been lurking in the shadow of the import scene.

Yeah, it's pretty impressive work. A sponsor of ours, XAT Racing, had theirs up for sale a little while back, but it was a full weekend racer/amateur track car. It only had a 6 gallon fuel cell. And 300+bhp in a car as light as the Miata = fun, despite the less than hetero connotations that the car carries.

plus, the weight distribution could be set up way easier. it also made room for the badass v mount radiator/intercooler.
