Yeah I bought a few to look at, they're sitting in my 6 car garage right next to my midnight black 2001 R34 Skyline V-Spec II, and the NISMO 400R :D

Is this what you have heard or did you actually talk to the company. Because even if the engine alone was $20000 the fact that a company would charge $30000 for a turbo, intercooler, radiator, standalone etc... is rediculous.

It's not their SR20DET crate motor, but their Honduh motors are in the $10k range. I doubt the SR would be 5 times that much, eventhough I'm sure we all could say that SR's are once, twice, five times the engine. LOL :D

Tomei crate engines come to around $20k I believe. You send your sr20det to them...and they blueprint, balance, stroke, hone, and add every part they sell.:)

Crated means that it's a fully built engine ready to drop in. The Tomei and JUN crate motors are between 15,000 and 20,000 dollars. It's a fully built motor and requires a SR20 core, they're both 2.2 stroker kits. The 2.0 kit is less, but not by any significant amount. You still need turbo, injectors, management, etc. The 50,000 dollar amount I've never heard of, but I do know they will build and tune things to your specification, which I would imagine would cost at least another 20,000 dollars for all the parts, labor, and tuning. : ) That's also for a 650+ hp SR20 though. : ) Or SR22 as the case may be. Enjoy your day!

The JUN 2.2 liter stroker engine costs about 100,000 australian dollars. It makes over 750 hp and comes with everything (holinger transmission, OS Giken Triple plate clutch, 890cc Sard injectors, Trust T88-34D turbo, Trust manifold with external Wastegate, Sleeves, JUN titanium valve retainers, Jun Cams, Re-seated valves, JUN balanced crank, Jun rods, pistons, Motec M800 ECU, really big throttle body, JUN metal head gasket, Intake manifold, heavily CNC ported, polished intake and exaust ports, Trust FMIC, Four fuel pumps, and a bunch of other crap like tuning and little bits and peices like oilpans, engine mounts, intake and stuff...)

There's a company I have might have access to that rebuilds engines in Japan, I know Trial uses this company to supply them engines for the cars that they tune. The engines are a little bit more expensive ($3-4k for an S13 SR), but the engines are rebuilt to basically factory fresh condition. I haven't looked much into them, because I'm sure the more experienced members here already know about companies like this. If not, I can always make some calls.

See??? $100,000AUD is ~$60,000USD, so i was a little conservative in my estimate :D
