crappy rock band 2 songs

So we picked up rockband 2 the other day, and i must say, the songs are 10x better than the first/ any guitar hero....with a few exceptions of course. There are those songs that when come up, you just have no desire to even try to enjoy playing it. So far for me it is "Alanice Morriset(sp?) you oughtta know" "alive" from pearl jam, and on the first rock band it was orange crush from r.e.m. i hate that song soooo much. So Nico, what songs do you dislike on rock band?

I hated having to play that horrible Fall Out Boy song on Rock Band. Same with In Bloom (such a long drawn out BORING paper thin song). Sabotage is NOT fun to play in addition to being a horrible song. What is such an electronic song doing in Rock Band? Say It Ain't So is HORRIBLE.

Guitar Hero On Tour has the most intolerable song of any music game, though: All the Small Things. Holy sweet burning satan on a stick I HATE that song AND that band. I play that song with the volume off.

In Bloom and Say it Ain't So are up on my list of hatred, but my all time hated song from Rockband 1 was Ballroom Blitz. Although, my band hates Green Grass even more. Just because it never ends.

I forgot about sabotage, i hate that one, on rockband 2 they have another one from them, whatcha want i think its called, its just as bad and crappy to play. It just makes me wonder why some songs even made it onto the game...

i really hate all of the songs that require me to finger bang the strum bar... seriously

but i LOVE singin livin' on a prayer. IMHO it's the best track on rb2.

and i also like how you can gold star any beastie boys song on expert just by rubbing the mic on something lol

Most definitely, it has the best line up of songs yet, but like any game like this, there are going to be some duds.

So far I hate the entire setlist of Rock Band 2. I've been playing all of the songs I imported from RB1 in the setlists that you can make yourself. I think RB2 is a dud. The distinct lack of hard rock/metal in the series just gets worse in RB2. I'm just looking for the achievement points. Oh and another thing, they said RB2's guitar portions were supposed to be harder. PLEASE. The guitar charting is a joke. I find myself picking and examining my boogers between notes in a majority of the songs.

Use the unlock code and start to play some of the Dream Theater, Judas Priest, Megadeth, and others at the end of RB2...

All of this punk crap sucks.

Psst... rock band has more than just the guitar, infact the drums are dare i say.....quite realistic.... and the singing, cant really fake that....

I hate playing "next to you" on drums and "Suffragette City" on guitar.

I'm glad they put in some softer songs in RB2...its better for RB party nights; everyone has a song they like!

Overall I hate the songs on RB2 compared to the first. But I will give it the benefit of the doubt due to the fact that I didn't really like RB1 very much until after I got used to them... . they grew on me. So I expect that will happen with the new game.

I love playing the Modest Mouse song (Float On) on the guitar. That beat is just cool!!! I don't really love the song that much.. the singing and lyrics suck.. but that guitar riff is sweet!

I actually think the RB2 song list looks pretty decent. Glancing over it, quite a few songs caught my eyes:

-Aqualung (it's about DAMN time--it's just too bad they didn't do one of the more musically interesting songs from the album like Mother Goose or Locomotive Breath...maybe because RB doesn't have a flute or piano peripheral), -American Woman, -Carry On Wayward Son,-Go Your Own Way, -Pinball Wizard, -Ramblin' Man (YEAH!), -White Wedding part 1 (this has to be a ton of fun for the whole band).

Sounds like some decent classic rock finally made it into a music game. I'm pleased. With RB1 and GH, I generally spent my time playing maybe 8 or 10 of the songs in the game. Sounds like this one's about the same. The above songs alone are worth it for me.

The fact that there's more Pearl Jam and Rush is a downside, but meh...I lived through it before.

EDIT:Has anyone had a chance to compare the old drums to the new ones? The new ones are supposed to be quieter. If that's true, I might have to trade up.
