I know my s14's heater sucked, but i thought that my s13 would be alot better but i'm haveing some problems.

The motor warms up fine and comes up to temp and seems good.

The problem is it will not put out any heat at idle, or sitting still for that matter. I've let it warm up for 30minutes, but it blows cold air out untill i start driving it.

I put a 170 degree (OE Temp?) thermostat in it a few months ago, could i have an air bubble in the system that gets trapped in the heater core?

What if I put in a 180 degree thermostat? would it hurt anything?

i got basically the same issue, when the top end of my motor was rebuilt i got basically nothing for heat.

Both cases i would point to an air bubble in the Heater core long before anything.

You could also check to make sure your temp control slider is still connected. If it's not then it may just be stuck on cold (happened in my friends truck).
