I have a tiny leak (it doesnt affect the oil level at all, ive been checking it often), in the crankshaft seal. My mechanic told me it’s so small that it’s not worth dropping the transmission just to fix it, since it would be very expensive and the leak doesn't pose any danger to the car. I was thinking of using Xenum Super Seal during the next oil change, which should fix it if the rubber seal has hardened, but I’m a bit hesitant about putting additives in the engine oil.

Do not use additives in your oil as a general rule unless you’re some kind of oil specialist.
See: the motor oil geek, on YouTube.

Instead, I’d ask which oil are you using now?
