Hey all

ive been looking at the SR20s options as far as building it up and so on and i have not really seen any aftermarkert cranks that have the same stroke as the stock crank so is it possible to use an HKS or TODA stroker crank with some stock length rods? it may give me so different geometry then the crank was designed for but it may be benificail no?

so id like any help

As far as I know the Tomei stroker kit (and possibly the others as well) don't come with rods, so I'd assume they are designed to work with stock length rods.

For building up an SR20...the stock crank doesn't seem to have any problem holding the power. If you dig around on freshalloy you should be able to get the part number, but I know Nissan USA stocks (and dealers should be able to get) a brand new stock SR20DET crank. I believe the cost is around $400 or so, which isn't terribly bad.

if you use a stroker crank with the stock rods for the engine be prepared for your bottom end to try and push your top end through your hood. when ever you stroke a motor you need to get shorter rods (thats how the stroker kit works)
