crankshaft sensor removal help

I am pulling the ka24de for the first time and I have located the crankshaft position sensor but I can't really get at it from above or below. Does anyone have any tips on an easier way to get it removed without damaging anything? The FSM and chilton book don't really help a whole lot, but theykepe telling me to be careful when removing it... any help would be appreciated. thanks in advance!
