the giant washer under the main pulley bolt is a little off center. and theres a small chunk missing where it was levered of the old engine. i asked a tech at the local nissan dealership if it would affect anything. he said it would unbalance the driveshaft. been that way for 20k. how much off a pain is it to get it centered.

the engines on a stand. i might be able to impact wrench it off but i know id have to mount the engine to get it torqued correctly.

is it worth it to get a new pulley because of the chip?

how much for a pro to do it?

I would get a new one. It's not hard at all to change them.

piece of cake to fix especially when on engine stand. you could always use the impact wrench to zap it back on instead of using a torque wrench but you did not hear it from me

wow, thats pretty noticable. what does the pulley look like when you pull it off?i think that will be a real balance issue at high rpm.is this a beater or a project?
