So driving down the turnpike last night i hear a thunk up front, and start to overheat instantly. I found a belt all around the fan, and looked down to find the front half of my crankshaft pulley laying in the bottom of my bay. It had a couple half screws in it so I'm assuming they sheared off, leaving my fan with no drive pulley. I had replaced the front main seal about 3000 miles ago, so could it be the result of a mis-tightening? Also I cant find the dimensions of these bolts in the FSM. Any ideas on finding replacements?

You could pick that up for pretty cheap at a junkyard. Just make some calls to your local yards and see if they have any 240's.

No luck so far. 240s are a rare breed round the Great Lakes. Should I try to find matching bolts or am I better off replacing the whole balancer?
