Crankshaft position sensor on 96 Maxima

I replace the dampener pulley and crankshaft sensor and oil seal on 96 maxima.
Car will crank but wont start. I dont see any fire at ignition coils. Is it posible I dont have the dampener pulley on enough to align with the sensor? If so would this keep car from starting?

If so, you should be able to easily see that the notches in the crankshaft aren't aligned with the center of the sensor.
