Ok folks. I have read through the forums, and still can not find the answer I am looking for.

WHERE IS THE CRANK-POS SENSOR ON A 96 ALTIMA KA24DE?

I have auto trans, and it IS NOT near the dipstick on the front of the engine anywhere. I have searched all over for it, and know what it looks like.

I have also searched for the Crank-Pos sensor harness connector as well, and the only wire found on the front of my engine I can see, is the O2 sensor.

thank you to whoever helps me

depending on your year..you may not have one on the side of your block like the sr set up..it may be included with the dizzy..or just not used...you will need to find a detailed service manual for your modle year of the engine to find out for shure.

Thank you for the help. Although it is still registered as overheating, I used a laser thermometer and shot the thermo housing, and also the Coolant sensor housing. Both are reading around 168-171 Degrees.

Another thing, I have never heard my low speed fan cut on. When I turn on the A/C, of course the high speeds kicks in. Perhaps my low speed fuse relay is bad?

Oh the joys

thx again!

as far as cooling goes..i never leave something that critical to a relay..i direct wire my toggles with a 30amp fuse..that way..i controll the cooling..not a relay..but thats me.
