Does it really matter, considering that even if it could spin up to 10k rpm, the rest of your motor would have blown up long before that point?
KA's don't make power past like 6.5. If your plans are for a high revving ka, you are wasting your time.

BTW, really high revving engines are usually reserved for track use, as most likely wont be streetable
edit again> really, if you want a nissan high revving 4cyl engine, get a CA. with stock valve train you can go to just under 8500 before you get valve float.

theres supposed to be a recall on the 'left handed assembled' ones, call your nissan dealer for more info. they should be able to get you swapped for a right hand assembled one.OriginalWheelman wrote:Somewhere between 1 and 50,000 RPMS. the stock s13 crankshaft should be good for at least 8000 rpm. my s13 blacktop instrument cluster redline is at 7500 rpm.
