Does it really matter, considering that even if it could spin up to 10k rpm, the rest of your motor would have blown up long before that point?

KA's don't make power past like 6.5. If your plans are for a high revving ka, you are wasting your time.

You'll likely need to replace the valve springs/retainers and rods long before you need to worry about the crank

edit> and this isnt the fabled DSM crankwalk, as has been said previously, (on either engine) youll get valve float on a stock valvetrain well before your crank reaches its limits. and that limit will depend on 1, did you have your rotating assembly balanced before you rebuilt the engine? 2, how hoss are the bearings you used (both main and rod)? answer those questions, then youll be past the 'how high can i rev' stage.

BTW, really high revving engines are usually reserved for track use, as most likely wont be streetable

edit again> really, if you want a nissan high revving 4cyl engine, get a CA. with stock valve train you can go to just under 8500 before you get valve float.

Somewhere between 1 and 50,000 RPMS. Depending on what day it was made on and wether the guy putting the motor together is left handed or not.

theres supposed to be a recall on the 'left handed assembled' ones, call your nissan dealer for more info. they should be able to get you swapped for a right hand assembled one.

the stock s13 crankshaft should be good for at least 8000 rpm. my s13 blacktop instrument cluster redline is at 7500 rpm.
