If it's stuck, even if you used say a wrench, then yep, your valves are nailing the piston. You probably didn't set it right. The KA24DE has 2 sets of chains as you know. This is gonna be fun so hold on to your belts. If you took the sprockets off completely without noting their position, you may have to align the whole system. If the valves are indeed hitting the piston and you cranked it as in you tried to start it up with the key, then the damage may already been done.
What you have to do now is take off the front cover of the engine on the head and take off the oil pump... yes that's right the oil pump.
You have to set the bottom chain, two shinny links have to match up with the crankshaft sprocket and the idler sprocket. Put the oil pump back on then set the top dual chains so that the shinny links match up with the cam sprockets.
