Does anyone have a method to removing the crankcase fitting (little barrel with [2] 1/2 inch hose barb fittings) that feeds the 2 rearmost hoses to the valve covers for the PCV system? I want to get that part cleaned up and "tapping" it hasn't budged it. I don't want to use too much force unless that's what's required.

Please advise.

Thanks,Nick.

I tried to figure out how to get that piece out while mine was apart and I never got it out. It seems to be in there pretty well!

I've got a feeling it needs to be tapped out from the bottom. I may just not worry about it until the time comes to rebuild the motor later....

Thanks,Nick.

Fairly sure it's cast into the aluminium... I wouldn't try remove it if I were you, just run a metal pipe cleaner through it and clean it in place (if you can)

The tube/barel is steel not aluminum (not sure how it can be cast in), however I do think it's pressed in. I'll follow your advise and leave it alone and just clean up in place.

Thanks,Nick.
