So after pulling my CKPS after finding no signal at the distributor, I see it has worn down a little over time. I also notice a more recent fresh nick on the sensor. Also some oil in the receptacle. Are there shims to accommodate for Crank walk (at 150k) if this is an issue?

I am not familiar with Nissan engines, but with domestic engines, excessive axial clearance/crank walk, is set by the Thrust bearing. It is one of the Main bearings supporting the crankshaft, but has material on its sides which limits movement of the crankshaft
