How do you get it off and how hard is it. Need to change the T-belt and some other wear parts.

Usually, you have to hold the flywheel using a special tool or a big screwdriver, and then break the crank bolt loose with a large socket/ratchet.

not just an air gun, you need an impact gun.

but to be honest, i would do it by "hand" with a breaker bar and 1/2 inch wrench. remember, the impacts resonate throughout the entire lower end, crank, rods, bearings, etc.

ive never found a bolt my 4 ft breaker bar i call "bertha" cant get off. got it at ace hardware for 6$.

Dude, the 3/4" extendable breaker bar is one of the best tools ever invented. Although I've used my impact for this job atleast 100 times and never had any problems. I never considered the harmonic damage the bearings may absorb though. Do you have any actual findings of this, I don't doubt it, I'm just curious and would like to save myself the trouble if at all possible.

i have no proof of any damage it causes, i have also used the impact countless times for those bolts. someone, somewhere once told me it COULD cause damage, but odds are it never will, just call me anal and cautious but working on a rb motors i take my time hehe.
