I somehow dont think that is a good idea.I picked up an aluminum pulley off eBay for like $60 shipped. Mine was cracking from the woodruff key slot, and I could not find a stock replacement locally. Been on for almost a year with no qualms what-so-ever.

I bought an Ebay crank and belts too (for SOHC). Have yet to drop it in, but it's good to hear your not having any issues.

That is a nice looking piece. There were 2 different pulleys available when I purchased mine, I bought the one that had a steel sleeve pressed into the center.

I remember some of the original U.R. pulleys having balancing issues with the crank because of this; its been too many years to remember exactly what the issue was. But that is why I got the one that I did.

About the only thing I have experienced is a slight dip in voltage at idle, but than, my car dont idle too good to begin with.

You can't really tell from the pic, but this one has a steel sleeve covering the outside of the "snout". That's the location where the front main oil seal rides. If i remember, the issue had something to do with that. Could be wrong though, i've had several bottles of sake tonight.... (hima no toki, mo ipphon, onegaishimas!) thank God for Firefox's built in spell check... too bad it doesn't work with romanji...

For future reference, if anyone searches this topic later, i bought Gates belts (although i'm sure others would work fine) from Amazon (Gates K040355, K040350 and K030384).
