crank pulley Q - stupid me

ok so my originaly crank pully was pretty hammered, so dee got me a new one, putting it on (i was using a rubber mallet) i cracked a small chip off the outter most lip, its not very big, but will this screw my motor up? as in like throwing it out of balance, i think im fine but id rather check then have my bearings **** the bed

it's fine, mine looks like a lamphrey's mouth I have chipped it up so much. I would take a file to the chipped area to ensure there is no jagged edge that may cyt up your belt.

the secret to easy on/easy off crank pulley is to sand down the conference of the bore at the center of the pulley. You want to do tis in a circular motion as well and keep testing the pulley until it can nearly fit snug without using a lubricant. The chips are not a problem.
