The absolute best way to get the bolt out would be to use an impact wrench. If you don't have one of those available you can use a strap wrench or chain clamp to try and keep it from spinning. It'll definitely be a little more difficult to do it that way but is possible.

If it has a manual transmission you can also leave it in gear with the tires on the ground and that would keep it from spinning.
Quote »I have to say compared to my KA I am impressed with this engine. [/quote]Yeah, the VG's are definitely some incredible engines. From what I can tell they're actually supposed to be just a little lighter than the KA, but I'm not 100% sure on that. They're very stout though. There are guys out there with turbo setups making upwards of 500 hp on stock internals. There are a few others out there have VG's with over 300,000 miles that are still running strong. When taken care of these engines will last for a very long time. Keep up on the oil changes and be sure to have a fresh timing belt every 60k miles and it'll last a very long time.
