Went on a trip to ohio for my inspection after swapping cats with my. Before that had code for cat. on the way there CEL pops up, and i finally got a chance to check it and came up with three codes.

1)77 - Rear O2 sensor2)82 - Crankshaft position sensor3)95 - " "

The o2 i'm not worried but why is there two crank codes. I heard something bout the 95 one being a flywheel chippin or something messing with the sensor.

I think i found where the sensor is but how the hell do i unplug the connector or even take the sensor out? there like this lil metal protector covering the connector and i can't maneuver even my small hands to grasp it. Its between the firewall and back of engine on top of transmission on the exhaust side right?

Basically how do i fix the problem. thanks

have you put a trans or clutch in recently? That sensor is moiunted to the bell housing and tends to get damaged when the novice mechanic does a clutch or trans swap.

nah haven't done a clutch or transmission job. just changed my cat converter thats all. My clutch is losing pressure if that is anyway related. The pedal doesn't come back up all the way anymore. check the master and slave both looks good, no leaks. but is some fluid leaking out where the clutch fork comes out of the transmission where it connects to the slave.

check the wiring coming off the sensor mounted at the edge of the bellhousing near the engine, that is your cranksensor when you did the exhuast work maybe your caught the wires. if all the harness looks ok coming off it then the sensor might be bad.

all you'll need is a short box end 10mm wrench. and at a 1/16 of a turn each time you can slowly back it out. it helps if you lower the back of the trans.
