Hi, after investigating fault code P1336, i pulled the crank position sensor out. The top of the sensor had been hit by tihe plate or some other foriegn object. When i looked at the sensor plate i noticed many teeth had been bent & broken. What if anything could have come in contact with the teeth on the plate? Maybe the starter? I know i have to pull the transmission to replace the fly wheel/sensor plate, but how do i prevent this from happening in the future?
