I'm trying to finish up the car(s14w/s14sr20det) and yesterday i noticed a big hole right behind my oil pan in the bellhousing where i can see the flywheel. Is this the where the crank position sensor or something of that nature would be? Ive tried searching but didn't come up with anything.

It's for the automatics, it's for access to the torque converter bolts.

so everything is alright? I have a 5 speed sr transmission. This hole is rather large, is there supposed to be a cover on it or something?

Its definitly not the starter, this hole is right behind the oilpan. I'll try to post pics up tonight.
