Just curious if anyone else is having this problem. First occasion: get in car, press start button, dash lights up, and then THUD...everything stops http://forums.g37driver.com/ze...d=262#. Everything electrical is dead. Try putting key fob into dash port, but that doesn't work. Try again 10 minutes later, car cranks, and drive to dealer for a diagnostic. No errors are in the system log, so they replace the key fob battery, tighten the battery connectors, and send me on my way.
Yesterday: Out of town, 50 miles from dealer. Just filled up with gas and press the start button. Dash lights up, and then THUD...everything stops . Wait 10 minutes. Same thing happen. Call roadside service (what a great service, btw) and they tow me back to hometown with the dealer. The problem was that my laptop and stuff was in the trunk, and I wanted those before getting in the loaner. Whoops...how do you do that WITH NO KEY SLOT!?! Infiniti put a battery charger on the car and it immediately powers up and cranks. Left car there for diagnostic, but it does concern me a little that this has happened a few times now. They say they'll call me on Monday -- so I'm enjoying driving the loaner like it's a rental car (vroooom! ) over the weekend.
Thoughts anyone? I've done some research and have not found any other posts in forums indicating this is a widespread problem.
Thanks, friends --
