ok heres whats up, my KA24DE won't start..

things i did:checked fuses and relays. Goodfuel pump. goodignition coil. goodignition switch. swaped

heres whats happening. when i put the key in the ignition and turn it to 1 the the engine/ECU light comes on dimly. when i turn the car to Acc the light goes off and the break light comes on. for some resone when i try to turn the car over power isn't being sent to the ECU, end result.. fule pump doesn't prime and the coil doesn't shoot a spark. We looked up where the wire was that fed power to the ecu and it had some resistance. so the power feed is fine.. Im clueless! help!

Check the voltage at the (black/white) and (red) wire where your harness plugs into the two brown and grey plugs behind your passenger side headlight. Those are you ecu main and back up power.... Maybe you have a short in them....

ok i checked the resistance on all of the plugs and they seemed to be fine..

but earlier today i was just playing around with the ecu and i got it to shoot a different (different than 34 knock sencer) code and when i tried to crank it there was combustion.. but not a complete turn overthe code was a strobe like flash. 1sec strobe. then a big long one that lasted about 1 or 2 seconds. after that it didn't give any more codes.. right now its on the battery charger

grr its been since july... i need to drive it

yeah the voltage is fine we got the ecu to work correctly so thats not the problem..

but we did a compression test, something we should have done to start with. but one and two were.. i think 110 and three and four were 95. so my question is.. is there any way to ajust the values with out taking the head out?its not rings cause we put a few drops of oil in it and the compression didn't go up..so yeah help pleas

but that still doesn't explain why theres no boom... it should still fire with low compression right?

If that intake cam is timed then that exhaust cam is about 160 degrees off. Pull that guide also.
