crank but no start

Just bought a 1990 240sx hatch, KA24E single cam. But doesnt seem to start. What are some solutions to this?

check your coils, check theres gas in the tank, check your fuse box (fuel pump), then open your gas tank and put your ear up to it and have someone crank it over, if you dont hear anything resembling the noise of a fuel pump then thats your problem, another way to check the fuel pump when you turn the key to the on posisition thats the position right b4 starting you should hear the fuel pump kick in if not well you get it now.

ok i did the fuel pump thing and hear nothing. on other cars I hear a wining noise but on mine theres nothing. So i would guess its tve pump.

yea it sounds like the fuel pump, go ahead throw a new one in there , let me know how it goes.
