I messed up the first 2 thread loops for my crank bolt on the SR20det. What size tap should I buy? The diameter of the bolt maximum is 15.83mm, so 16mm right? 1.5 or 2mm thread pitch?

God I hope i can fix this. fkn thing won't thread back on

Nevermind guys I bought a 16mm x1.5mm pitch tap and re tapped the first 2 threads, worked like a charm!Thank God for harbor freight. Good for something. They're the only place amongst sears homedepot pep boys lowes etc that carries decent metric sized taps!
