I'm trying to remove my crank bolt.. except the FSM says the tq is 330+ ft lbs!! for those of you who did, how did you do it w/o cranking the engine over backwards, and what tools did you use?

Is the tq really 330+ ft-lbS?

probably, if its the same about as 1 from the KA, my brother took the 1 on my car easy, he just took 1 of those circular holders(like the 1's for takin out oil filters) that had a chain rather than rubber, puts it around the crank, and uses a breaker bar.

I used a air gun to get the crank bolt off. Then I found out the pulley puller I had was too small so I skipped the belt change. I'll be doing it real soon tho.

if the motor is in the car and transmission/driveline all hooked up just put it in a gear and use a cheater bar and it'll come off, otherwise use an impact wrench
