I'm in the process of putting all the wiring together for my KA(t) engine, and for some reason I'm having a lot of trouble finding the CAS (crank angle sensor: on the distribiuitor) wire + plug. The FSM says that the plug is right there along with all the other wires that go across the injectors/fuel rail (like the TPS/coolant temp/MAF/power steering pressure switch/etc etc etc), but I dont see it anywhere. What I do have, however, is one plug that doesnt match up to anything, that looks like it used to run across the top of the fan shroud... I'm thinking that maybe that plugged into a subharness that had the CAS plug on it.

Aaaannnyways, I was hoping someone could go out and take a quick look at their S13 engine, and follow the wire that plugs into the distribuitor: tell me where it goes and what it plugs into... number of pins in the plug etc etc... anything that might help me track this down.

Thanks guys!

I'm almost positive it's 4 pins and runs directing across the front timing chain cover into the injector harness along with the temp sensor and all that junk. I don't know if it's just cause the pic is far away but the design of the plug looks different than mine. (sorry I'm at college so no quick look for me)

Its four wires that run across the front of the motor right to the distributor.

White, black, black/white, thin black.

Does your distrib have two plugs on it? Is the coil inside or external. If the coil is inside and you have two plugs on it then you have an S14 distrib.

I believe the plug that runs across the radiator support is the plug for the external coil.
