Does anyone know which crank angle sensor(the one in the bellhousing) I can use for my s14 sr20det? I have been offered a z32 one and a ka one but I am not sure if they would work. Any help would be very much appreciated.

SRs only come with a Cam Position Sensor (which is also called the Crank Angle Sensor by some) and bolts into the head. The only reference I can find to a Crank Angle Sensor in my KA service manual is to the Cam Position Sensor built into the distributor. The manual calls it by both names.

these are the only sensors in the trans. the only one not listed on that picture is the speed sensor, which is the tiny cylindrical thing directly below the neutral position switch.

the only other opening on the trans is in the bellhousing for the pivot fork.

LMAO

I love noobs

Its the speed sensor if it has a sprocket. And you need S13 for S13 and S14 for S14. If its a S15 motor then your ****ed unless you get a S15 rear diff.

It's definitly not the speed sensor, I know that. Actually it's right on the other side of the bellhousing, I can see the flywheel when the car is jacked up. It's a hole like 2-3 inches in diameter. And no it's not the starter either. I would imagine that it is some sort of sensor that drives off of the flywheel, but like I said, I will try to post up pictures later today.

ahh i thought u might be talking about that. you are missing a small metal plate that simply covers that hole. the only purpose for that hole is to remove those 2 nuts you see there. they are to the oil pan.

Those nuts, AND the torque converter bolts on the automatic model.

Ahh I see, thats a relief. I'll have to find someone to make a cover or something, I haven't a clue on how many of those are floatin around. Maybe I can snag one off of someone who is parting out their sr or something. Thanks a ton guys i couldnt find any info on that anywhere.

Im guessing top postion is the 5 gear sensor switch so the ECU can limit your speed.
