I wouldnt recommend swapping the CAS out of the distributor if you dont have to, very thin disk and a tricky sensor to remove.

I have never seen one go bad, not unless it had some major water or corrosion damage. How did you come to this conclusion?

well the car would die at random times and wouldn't star; but after sitting it would start, or I could reset the ecu by disconnecting the battery for awhile.I was getting two codes 11 and 32. my egr is plugged up so it has to be the cas. I'm guessing the code doesn't actually mean the part is bad. but what else could it be?
