omg this needs taken out and shot http://pittsburgh.craigslist.o....htmlCar runs. Sold As-Is. The body is dinged up.
I have drove it 150 miles a week to work for the past two years.
Has 99,000+ miles on it. Inspection was due at the end of 01/09. Automatic Transmission.
This car does need fixed up. There are many little things wrong with it. However, with everything below, I have been able to operate it for the past 3 years.
ENGINE:
-Everything is fine with the engine except a slow anti-freeze leak. I'm not sure if it leaks, or if it burns up. Either way, I have to add some every other day (150 miles or so) or else the car will only have hot air if it's engine is moving well. I replaced the radiator two years ago. When the anti-freeze is low, and the car sits at idle too long, it will start to over-heat. However, if it is driven, and your never stuck in traffic, it's fine.
TRANSMISSION:
-For whatever reason, the transmission will refuse to downshift at times. This has only happened after the car has driven 20+ miles. It will downshift manually with the automatic shifter knob when this happens, but it will not automatically downshift.-The transmission was replaced about 18 months after I bought the car. I noticed problems with the original one within days of buying the car.
BODY:
- Divers Side Front Quarter Panel is damaged- Rear Bumper is Damaged- Read Trunk Lid is Damaged. It will not latch completly shut.- Car is Spray Painted Matte Black. Previous owner painted it, but did not clear coat it. As it got worse, I repainted it using two matte black spray cans. Looks fine, but it will never shine without a paint job.- Other various minor dings, but those stand out.- I have a brand new, unpainted rear fiberglass bumper to match the original.- Car is outfitted with complete front and rear bumper, and ground effects. - Car has shaved door handles. The work is beginning to crack a bit, may need touched up.- The control for opening the doors does not work for the front and passenger door. Sometimes it will work randomly, then go back to not working. So I'm guessing it's an easy fix, but I knew very little about car electronics. For almost a year, I have had to open the back doors to reach in and open the drivers door to get in. I guess the plus side is that I never have to lock my doors.- Car has a large sport spoiler that is alot higher than most.
EXHAUST:
- Has a loud muffler. Some sort of sport custom muffler. Was already there when I bought the car.- Has some sort of aftermarket intake that sucks air inside the hood. (Picure included)
BRAKES:
- Brakes work, but will probably need them to pass inspection.- ABS does not work. It's currently unplugged or else it tries to start up each time the car starts.
LIGHTS:
- Has two tail lights out on the passenger side. One of them is the turn signal.- Front turn signals are very dim. May need replaced.
WHEELS:
- Has 4 decent tires. None of them need replaced for inspection I believe.- Car will come with four extra 18" chrome rims. They require low profile tires to fit onto the car. I might have lost the adaptor rings for the tires to fit the car, but I would imagine you could order them. Just don't count on them if you are buying the car. Once the tires ran flat, I did not want to spent the money needed to replace them, so I put the stock rims back onto the car. Rims are in decent shape, but they have been sitting outside for almost a year.
STORY:
I bought this car off of someone in Maryland 3 years ago. It's previous owner before that I believe lived in Washington, D.C., Las. Vegas, and San Fransisco where it was first bought. This information is found because most of the service history is still in the glove box. The original car color was dark purple.
Before I bought the car, the owner replaced the timing belt and water pump. This was at 72,000 miles, so it does not need a new one. This can be a costly service if you need to do it.
