Are there dashboard covers available for the V yet to prevent any cracks in the dashboard from being out in the sun?

I highly doubt you will have issues with the dashboard cracking. Nissan dash's are made much better than they were in the late 80's and early 90's when there were some cracking issues (like on the s13's).

Also, if you're that concerned about it, there are companies out there that make custom-fit carpeted dash covers. I forget the name of the one that stocks all our stores out here (Checker/Schucks/Kragen is the chain that carries them), but they're usually $30 or so and are measured and built off of a stock sample of whatever model, so they're perfect fits.

I think they look kinda ugly, though... and perhaps a better way to go might be to get a sunshade for the front window. This will keep the car cooler when you park in the sun, expose your dash to less sunlight, and also costs less than a dash cover.
