Cracked Window Flashing

I've noticed that the flashing around the driver's and passenger side windows is cracked or has bits missing from it. The first time I noticed this, it was a mere -2 c, and I was scraping ice off the driver's side window. Later I noticed it had also happened on the passenger's side.

Has anyone else noticed this on their Versa? I have to meet up with the dealer to discuss a few odd things (hatch not latching easily, begging for an SL badge, etc), and would like to know if this is a common occurrence. I can't believe it happened so easily on this car. What ever would happen in -40 weather when rubber/plastic actually gets brittle?? Or 3 years from now? I've only scrapped the windows twice when I'd noticed this had happened.
