I have a random misfire and i have been checking all my ignition parts to weed out what is bad. there is a crack at the end of the wire that is inserted into the head. In everyones opinion do you folks think that would cause a random misfire? Thanks!

It is very possible. I had a horrible misfire that took me 2 months to diagnose, it turned out to be my plug wires. It only happened after I boosted it, so I thought it had to do with that, but it was merely my plug wires.

One wire wasn't even touching the plug, and another one had a cracked housing. Replacing them is easy and relatively cheap, I say you do that first.
