Cracked Fuel Injector plastic tip. Dangers?

One more question for the wise on these wonderful boards. In replacing the seals on my fuel injectors I discovered one of the pintle caps was cracked. Likewise, during the work, a portion of the cap fell off, the very end piece. The remaining plastic seems firmly secure. My question is this:

What are the dangers in driving the car with an injector in this condition? Or will I simply run roughly and not get the mileage I normally would?

P.S. Anyone know where I could get a replacement pintle cap? Buying new injectors is troublesome.
