hmmm... well as a non mechanic semi retard i would say yes if theres exhaust coming out the crack. it could effect the backpressure cause backfire and such (wild guess, i have no clue) charge the headers and exhaust now so all you have to worry about is credit card payments not your manifold.

disclaimer: gumby has no idea what hes talking about ever

nope, nothing really serious to worry about unless you're boosting.

put some heat shield around the brake master cylinder if you want it to last.otherwise, there are those muffler patch kit that works pretty good...

A KA with an exhaust leak @ the manifold sounds like a domestic, at last my ka24e did, when my AIV plug got blown off..

if it has a crack in it and is spewing exhaust into the engine bay....THINK about it... why is that tube there in the first place.... to get that nasty stuff out of there and away from the car....

it will run with it like that... but will be loud, and will be throwing hot carbon filled air into your engine bay.... :poke

dont worry about it, your stock engine has nowhere near enough pressure to be harmful. depending on where it is, it may rattle a bit, but if youre just going to get a header anyway, i wouldnt give it a second thought till then.

its not the pressure going out he has to worry about, its the cold air going in, and when I mean cold, i mean that in a relative term, cooler air will cause the exhaust valves to crack when it touches them, its like throwung a piece of hot metal in an ice bath, not real good, I have a mani here if ya want it, charlotte NC give it up real cheap

^^^ That's the case sometimes with running no manifold...but a crack will do no damage.
