i read that this is common but i wanted to hear what others have to say...i am only oging to be using this turbo for a little while, i am going to be buying a engine and building that one for 400+ or around there anyways here is a picture of the cracks

you are thinking about using that? dont. it will jstu get worse. maybe if its welded well it may hold for some time. i would be scared of a piece of metal hitting the 150krpm turbine wheel.

you need to let the car warm up fully and cool down for a few mintues to allow for proper heat exapnsion

Ive seen hairline cracks on turbos before, but thats more than a few hairlines. It would probably still work, but maybe you should just get your new turbo first.

i nkow you are suposed to let the car warm and cool, the turbo hasnt been on my car yet, i got it for $20 and was going to use it...it had a flang for a 3 bolt DP cover the cracks and didnt notice untill i took that off so i could use a 5 bolt
